zurko research is always aware of the social reality and has already made its first steps in this direction.

One of the ways of showing its solidarity and sesitivity is the support it offers to different social initiatives, among which there is the sponsorship of the Italian footbal team “Real Vibrata”.

“Real Vibrata” is one of the eleven teams which are part of the project << Sportiva…mente>>, a football tournament for people with mental health problems. This project was born in 2006 at the initiative of Unione Italiana Sport per Tutti (UISP) in the region of Abruzzo, Italy, in collaboration with the director of the Mental Health Center of Pescara and the associations “Airone” and “Araba Fenice”.  The initiative has received approval and patronage from the Italian Ministries of Health and Youth.

The eleven teams participating in this tournament are a mix of doctors, nurses and patients. The purpose of <<Sportiva…mente>> is both the recovery and the social reintegration of the people with mental disabilities through football. It is not just a regional championship, but also a campaign that hopes to influence the social patterns and cultural prejudices concerning what the modern society considers normal.
