| Zurko Research has been awarded with SME Innovative certification, with the recognition given by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
This recognises the constant work that the company has carried out on research, development and innovation since its birth in 2005, as R&D experts and their evolution to become a specialized clinical and in vitro assessment of the safety and efficacy of cosmetics, cosmetics, medical devices and biocidal products, as well as in the regulatory consultancy for these products, since 2008.
Zurko Research has participated in various research and innovation promotion programmes at different levels, being these European, national and regional, such as the H2020 MSCA-RISE Programme (Marie Sklodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange) and previous framework programmes (FP5, FP6 and FP7), the LIFE+, the National Scientific-Technological Infrastructure Plan (Scientific-Technological Infrastructure Activation Instrumentation) or the Innova-Enhanced Programme.
Our areas of activity
Currently, the company is developing four main areas of activity:
- Cosmetics and cosmeceuticals. This area of activity includes in vivo and in vitro tests to determine the effectiveness, toxicity, safety or stability of cosmetic and cosmeceutical formulations. Zurko Research establishes innovative protocols and differentiators for products and their manufacturers.
- Biocidal. It focuses on the design, development and validation of tests of efficacy, toxicity, ecotoxicity and biodegradability, as well as other focuses on determining their physical-chemical properties.
- Medica Devices. This area includes tests to determine the safety and efficacy of products intended for medical use, at preclinical level (biocompatibility, absorption, stability, etc.) and in clinical trials. Additional other complementary tests and quality control and validation services are also included.
- Regulatory Affairs. This area of activity includes activities aimed at helping customers with the legal register of products according to the different regulations, as well as to obtain certifications and authorizations, designing the best strategy for each client.
This certification is added to other accreditations and certifications which support the company, such as ISO 9001:2015, UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ICR.
