Evaluating antioxidant capacity

Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) are the main cause of aging and deterioration of the skin. ROS are molecules produced by exposure to physical or chemical inputs that lead to oxidation.

This reaction may produce free radicals that affect the regular physiological processes and therefore, we need antioxidants to balance the oxidative stress and reduce the formation and/or the interaction of ROS with the cells and tissue structures. We can currently offer a variety of in tubo (DPPH, ORAC, HORAC, NORAC, SORAC, SOAC and CORAC), in vitro (fibroblasts and keratinocytes) / ex vivo (reconstructed epidermis and human skin explants) and in vivo tests (FRAP and MDA) to evaluate the antioxidant capacity of your product and we can advise you on the most appropriate method.
